Living Voices’ Klondike: The Last Adventure

This live storytelling performance is based on real events and tells the tale of Eliza, a young woman who braves the perilous journey to the Yukon in search of gold and opportunity. Abandoned by her husband, her resilience and motivations are repeatedly tested in “the last great adventure” of 1897. This program was created in partnership with the National Parks Service and includes historical photos and video presentation. Presented by the Pend Oreille Arts Council and sponsored by the Idaho Humanities Council and Taylor & Sons Chevrolet. Tickets sold at the door.

Clark Fork High School Art Track Exhibit

For the third year in a row, POAC is proud to present a showcase of artwork created through Clark Fork High School’s Experiential Learning Art Track. For an entire semester, students are immersed in a weekly full-day intensive art workshop. Instructed by POAC Artist Member Nellie Lutzwolf and guest artists, innovative teaching methods inspire fearless experimentation and thoughtfulness as well as the development and practice of advanced techniques. POAC Performing Arts Series’ first-ever showcase of local talent will celebrate the quality and diversity of performing artists in our community. Several rising stars will be chosen through auditions held on February 3rd, and the performance will follow on March 23rd. The Pend Oreille Arts Council is now relocated on the second floor of the Cedar Street Bridge.  POAC is inviting everyone to its Open House at the new office. Drinks and appetizers will be served and artists Lesley Gadsby and Barbara Wilson will be displaying their work as well.
POAC President Carol Deaner stated, ” Please stop by and see our new facility and meet some of our staff, board members and volunteers as well as our artists who will be displaying their work.”

Montreal Guitare Trio “Danzas”

The virtuosic classical guitar trio of Marc Morin, Glenn Levésque, and Sébastien Dufour pay tribute to the great composers of Spanish music, including Paco de Lucia and Manuel de Falla, in their Danzas concert.
