The Arts of Human Rights Bonner County Human Rights Task Force and the Pend Oreille Arts Council have once again joined forces to present The Art of Human Rights, the young artists’ exhibition of human rights-themed art and literature that will serve to broken knowledge about human rights through aesthetic and emotional channels. Students in grades 7th through 12th participate in this exhibition of visual and literary arts. Each piece of art created by students reflects some aspect of the thirty points of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and is intended to give the viewer an intense aesthetic and emotional education on the subject. The young artists in this show have used the quality of their communications to show that people do have rights, that they must know their rights, and insist on their rights and the rights of others. Together, we are using the power of artists’ communication to move the world towards one where human rights are reality. This exhibit will remain on display through Friday, January 30, 2015.
