 Kaleidoscope Classes

The Kaleidoscope Art Program is an all-volunteer effort made possible by the Community Assistance League and the Pend Oreille Arts Council.  We bring the joy and enrichment of art to 3rd, 4th, 5th and some 6th graders throughout Bonner County- kids who may not have art on a regular basis otherwise.

Students work in a variety of mediums, from clay to watercolor to collage (and many more), and study the Elements of Art, through a curriculum designed to complement the topics studied in their other classes.  Classes are taught once a month throughout the school year by trained community members.

If you would like to see Kaleidoscope art classes taught in your student’s class, contact your student’s teacher.  You may also contact the Kaleidoscope Coordinator by email to: [email protected] or call the POAC Office at: 208-263-6139.

POAC hosts auditions for theatrical, dance, and music performances throughout the year, including The Nutcracker and Missoula Children’s Theatre, with opportunities for students age 5 through high school. For more information about upcoming performances, please visit our Audition page.

Arts & Crafts Fair Kids Booth

During the Arts & Crafts Fair at City Beach, POAC offers fun activities for kids in our Kids Booth, including painting, play dough, cereal necklaces, and our always-popular face painting by local artists.  We usually collaborate on a project with another local nonprofit.  $5 admission per child gives them access to all of these activities and more (proceeds help us replenish supplies each year and contribute to our Kaleidoscope program).  Parents are welcome to accompany their children throughout the Kids Booth.
