Missoula Children’s Theatre
Auditions for Missoula Children’s Theatre production of ‘Aladdin’ will be held Monday, April 23rd, (time TBA) and will be held at Farmin-Stidwell Elementary (1626 Spruce Street) in the gymnasium, followed by the first rehearsal.
There are roles available for students in grades K-12. Students must be at least 5 years old to participate. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition should arrive by the scheduled starting time and plan to stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 30 minutes after the auditions.
It is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. They should just be ready to come and have a good time! During the audition, 2-4 Assistant Directors, ages 10 and older, are selected to help teach and direct the show early in the week and take on technical responsibilities at performance time.
Rehearsals will be conducted every day, April 23 – April 27, from 3:30 to 8:00 PM at Farmin-Stidwell School, and April 28, at the Panida Theater – full dress rehearsal (time TBA). Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the auditions. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch, supper or snack.
The public performances of MCT’s ‘Aladdin’ will be held at the Panida Theater (300 North First in Sandpoint) on Saturday, April 28, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Ticket prices are kept low to ensure the best possible attendance by parents, family, friends and the community-at-large. Adult tickets are $15, youth under 18 are $5, per performance.

Tickets will be available two weeks prior to the performances at POAC’s ticket outlets: Eve’s Leaves (326 North First Ave), Eichardt’s Pub (212 Cedar Street), and Winter Ridge Natural Foods Market (701 Lake Street).
