Metal Garden Art
In this class students will learn shop safety, proper use/care of tools and processes/ techniques with demonstration. They will be using the Oxyacetylene torch and welding rod to create 3- dimensional art. The first half of the class will be practicing shaping metal with the torch as well as welding pieces together. In the second portion of the class students will create a sculpture that they will be able to take home.
About Dave Gonzo
Dave has been in the metalworking field for 26 years, creating metal art for 18 years and teaching metalworking (sculpture, blacksmithing, functional art) for 10 years.
He works mainly in metal and copper, and he sometimes combines them with other materials such as concrete, stone, and nature.

Location
This class will be conducted at Dave’s Studio: 1023 Baldy Mt. Rd (Across from interstate concrete & next to Suzuki String Institute) Green buildings.
There are no restroom facilities on site due to being industrial area. Breaks will be taken when needed.

A studio fee of $30.00 will be due to the instructor on the day of the class. (Please bring cash.)
