Vintage Vibe Collage/Assemblage

In this class, students will piece together vintage, cast off, and unlikely items to create a mixed media collage. Using vintage books and magazines they will find inspiration and create layers of interesting papers, paint, and 3 dimensional items. Students will learn composition techniques to assemble eye-catching unique, frame worthy art pieces.

About molly gentry

Molly has been a creator of art her whole life starting with realistic graphite and charcoal portraits. She has been a teacher of art and literature which brings a deeper meaning to her artwork.  She finds inspiration in song lyrics, poetry, and literature. All of her artwork uses vintage, recycled, and cast-off materials.

September 18 & 19, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Supply fee

All materials will be provided.  A $15.00 supply will be due to the instructor at the first class session. (Please bring cash.)

Optional: In addition to the provided materials, students are invited to bring any type of personal mixed media they would like to use in their art. Items might include: a recipe card, a black and white photo, small souvenirs, or a poem.
